We drive you 20 km up the Manali Rothang Pass road to the meadows of Gulaba (3000m). The views of the upper kullu valley form here are quite spectacular. Hanuman Tibba (5928m) looks very close from this point and the curve of its glacier is visible. The trail gose eastwards and we climb steadily through oak forests. We walk slowly up as the altitude can make you a little breathless. On this day the camp is at rawari khoi (3850m) surrounded by yellow cliffs, the river and stream here are very pure and clear. Camp overnight.
Rawari khoi-teli via Bhrigu Lake (4250m) - 5 to 6 hrs.
We cross the river near the camp and then keep climbing to cross a mountain ridge, beyond which lies the Bhrigu lake at an altitude of 4250m. this beautiful spot is perfect for a quick lunch break. After lunch we do a “puja”, a ceremony involving incense and coconut for the local ‘Devta’ ( male Deity). By late afternoon we arrive in teli and set up the camp at 3500 m. camp overnight.
