Hotel In Manali
Himalayan Lakes Motorbike Tour is a 12 day journey from Manali to Leh. It covers a slightly off beat route taking you through some of the most magnificent sites. We travel through the most pristine landscape. The ride is challenging as we encounter dirt road and high altitude for a good duration of the tour. This tour is unique in the sense that the riders get to visit 4 lakes and many high Altitude passes over a course of 12 days. Himalayan Lakes Motorbike Tour is a more extreme version of the standard Manali – Leh Route. The destination remains the same but the road to get there is wilder.

Yes, a helmet is required by Indian law. BRM Expeditions highly recommend using a full face helmet.
We recommend everyone who signs up for our tours to have atleast a one-year motorcycle riding experience and some experience of riding in off road conditions. You must bear in mind that all roads routes throughout the Himalayas are constantly subject to small landslides and water damage during the heavy monsoon rain months that usually occur from June to September. While off road riding experience is not mandatory, it can be very helpful to navigate these sorts of occasional rough road sections on anyone of our given Himalayan tour routes. You are advised to get comfortable on a 500cc motorbike if you are to take a tour with us. We reserve the right to terminate any participants’ ride if his riding skills are not up to the mark for the intended tour. Please feel free to email us to discuss riding skills and specific tour route conditions and requirements in more detail.

Normally, you should wear waterproof riding gear, riding boots, riding gloves along with a helmet. But if you do not have riding gear, wear clothing that will give you some protection in the unlikely event of a spill. As a minimum, you should wear the following: Footwear that protects your feet and your ankles (hiking boots are good). Durable pants-leather is best; but you can make do with jeans, work pants, or something similar. An abrasion resistant jacket that zips or buttons up close to the neck. For the Ladakh tour, you would also need a pair of thermal inner wear to combat the cold. Please make sure your riding gear is waterproof or you have a separate rain gear. You should also pack nightwear and casual clothing and footwear for your time away from the motorcycle.
You would need a valid passport good for atleast 6 months after the last day of the tour you are participating in. You are also advised to carry a medical insurance as well as a travel insurance that sufficiently covers the bike, you and any third-party damages/injuries.
For every Tour that we organize, an Inclusions section is shared. You may contact us if there is any question or if you want more clarity around any points.
